In the 2025 Creative Arts Summer Program, students will immerse themselves in the exciting world of filmmaking through our Youth Filmmaker workshop. This dynamic program is designed for aspiring young directors, writers, and actors who want to explore the entire filmmaking process. Participants will learn the essentials of scriptwriting, where they will develop their storytelling skills and create original scripts that captivate audiences. With the guidance of industry professionals, students will also delve into the art of acting, honing their performance skills in front of the camera. They will engage in lively workshops that emphasize character development, improvisation, and on-screen presence, ensuring they are well-equipped to deliver compelling performances.
In addition to scriptwriting and acting, participants will gain hands-on experience in producing an independent film from start to finish. Students will collaborate as a team, taking on various roles such as director, cinematographer, and editor, allowing them to understand the multifaceted nature of filmmaking. The workshop culminates in a final product presentation, where students will proudly showcase their film alongside an original music soundtrack created in our Music/Engineer workshop. This comprehensive program not only encourages creativity and collaboration but also provides aspiring filmmakers with the tools and confidence to bring their artistic visions to life.
